How are Button Stats Calculated?

Last modified:

Likes and shares are calculated by the social media themselves. We collect the data about shares via API. If there are shares within the social networks without site visits, they will also be counted. Messengers don't provide API access to calculate shares, so only shares made via uSocial buttons are counted for them. We count only real, unique likes and shares.

Please note: the number in the counter increases on click, which is a visual effect. This number can get reset if you refresh the page without finishing the sharing.

Shares made via private messages are not considered public, and social media APIs don't add them to the counters.

Numbers displayed on the counters are stored on social media. You can't reset them.
